Time lapse images taken during rites of passage and celebratory events - wedding receptions, club dances, formal parties: movement through time, emotion of the tribe and individual.

Technically these images are made from video frames, they are composited together into the a panned format.   Often elements are repeated from frame to frame, especially if the camera is not panning.  Blurring motion is enhanced as result of 4 fps capture speed; normal is 30 fps.  I have shot several events without finding the interpretative image, those that are found take a lengthy process to complete.  Art as process is very much the mode here - finding the image in the event.

Digital pigment onto hand built acrylic emulsion on aluminum plates, all with some additional acrylic over painting and pen & ink work, acrylic top coat with UV protection and varnished with UV protection; framed, 12x36 inches.
